Spot the ball

A worrying moment for the 45,000 fans as Sunderland defend against a free kick. Where did the ball go?

To create this effect in Photoshop you need to duplicate the background layer then desaturate it, then create a “reveal all” layer mask, and paint on the mask with a small brush to reveal the colour in the underlying layer.

  1. Love the outstanding color in the photo of the red and white shirts.

  2. By the way, I just got my new CS3 from Photoshop yesterday and it has a few new features in it that would have made this photo a joy to work on. My problem is that I will have to watch the tutorial several times to learn how to do it.

My Theme Day is of a city unto itself, with its own zip code, and a portrait of the “Peashooter” at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Hope you like flying.

  3. I have my copy of CS3 sitting waiting to be installed, I need a bit of a clean out first on the PC before I set about it.

  4. Tee hee
It normally goes in the back of the Sunderland F.C’s net several times..
might have been better in the Black and White shirts …
Joking aside it’s a Great photo … like it a lot
