horse riders on beach, Whitburn, South Tyneside

Riding at Whitburn

The beach at Whitburn, South Tyneside,  just behind the Bents Cottages has become a favourite place to take your horse for a canter along the beach and a “plodge” in the sea. It is generally quiet and sheltered from the rougher tides at other locations along the coast.

  2. Your title and the perspective of the rider on the left really gave me a chuckle. We have lots of beach area on the eastern side of our state, but I never see horses. Looks like they’re having a grand time.

Thanks for the nice post you left on my blog.

  6. I like your new set-up — its good to be able to see a few posts at a time and pick which one to comment on — impossible to visit daily.
