The procession of the praying mantis reaches the Sea Hotel and the Dunes entertainment centre in South Shields, by now thousands of people are following behind in something like the story of the Pied Piper of Hamlyn.

The last time I was in South Shields I had Sunday lunch in the Sea Hotel. Hope that Mantis does not eat every Yorkshire in site.
