Double delight
Bents Park concert
The summer season is well and truly under way in South Shields, yesterday we were treated to a double header free concert in the Bents Park featuring former Tpau singer Carol Decker, and actress and singer Toyah Willcox, and what a belter of an afternoon it was. There were thousands in the park to listen to these former stars going through their back catalogues, and a few showers weren’t enough to force anyone towards the exits.

Never fan of Toyah, but I really liked Carol at the time. Would have turned up for “China in your hand”.

i was there on sunday Toyah was far better then Carol, rock oo toyah, your the best.

Toyah’s aged a lot more than Carol. Bet they both sounded good though. They could have done a duet entitled “It’s a mystery china in your hand”!
